Frank Cui

Founder/Managing Director

Frank Cui is the Founder and Managing Director of EverBright Finance. He has 14 years of experience working at two major banks in New Zealand. Over the course of his career, he has held several senior roles in the financial industry, including his most recent position as Head of the Migrant & Asian Banking Division at a major bank. He also serves as a board member of the EMA – New Zealand’s Employers and Manufacturers Association. As a career banker and businessman, Frank is passionate about supporting local businesses and communities and helping them grow. He has a master’s degree in advanced leadership practice from Massey University and a finance degree from Auckland University. Frank is married with two children. In his leisure time, he enjoys playing basketball and acoustic guitar.

Francine Kwok

General Manager

Francine Kwok is General Manager of EverBright Finance. Prior to joining EverBright, Francine gained 20 years’ banking experience at BNZ, where she developed expertise in credit, people leadership, risk and operational management. In her most recent role as a Regional Manager at BNZ, Francine led the highest-performing team of Business Acquisition Managers in the SME segment – helping businesses in Auckland and Northland grow with banking solutions that fit their needs. Francine uses her practical experience as well as knowledge gained from her formal education to understand the needs of the individuals and groups she does business with, providing valuable advice and sourcing the best solutions for their goals.

Director of North Shore Team

Oliver Huang is Director of the EverBright Finance North Shore Team and a highly experienced Senior Financial Adviser. With extensive knowledge and expertise in various fields, including IT, international trading, wholesale manufacturing, retail, residential construction, property developments and the banking/financial industry, Oliver has established himself as a specialist in property finance and residential, business and commercial loans. His rich business background and property development knowledge make him stand out in the finance sector. Oliver’s commitment to excellence has been recognised with multiple awards. In his first year as an adviser, he was named Advisor of the Year in 2018 under Mortgage Link. He has also consistently achieved Link Financial Group Double Diamonds Awards in the past few years. Oliver takes pride in helping countless customers achieve their financial goals and turn their dreams into reality.

Song Song is Director of EverBright Finance’s East Team. He brought to the company 12 years’ experience in various banking roles, in which he gained expertise in leadership, lending and operations. His most recent role in banking was as Regional Manager in SME Acquisition at BNZ. Song’s experience and knowledge of the banking industry give him a great understanding of clients’ financial goals and how to take them there. Song specialises in several areas, including business and commercial lending, property finance, cash flow lending and budgeting, residential home lending, investment property lending and business planning. His proficiency in these areas enables him to provide tailored financial solutions to his clients.

Edward Lai is Head of Insurance at EverBright Finance. He believes that putting his clients first and maintaining the utmost level of professionalism on their behalf is a must, and this has never steered him wrong. Edward brings the highest degree of experience to his clients, listening to their needs and working diligently with them to implement a comprehensive customised plan that is unique to them. His specialty lies in life risk insurance, such as life, trauma, disability income protection, TPD, medical cover, and more. Before joining EverBright as its strategic partner, Jack Hou amassed 18 years of experience working at four international financial institutions, including three major banks in New Zealand. He held senior positions at ANZ, including Head of International Banking NZ and Auckland Asian Retail/Business Banking and Acting Regional Manager for Wellington North with 13 branches and 200-plus bankers. He was also a board member of the ANZ NZ Staff Foundation and founder of the Wellington region’s Asian Retail and Business Bank Divisions. Jack is passionate about helping clients become home and business owners. He is keen to share his corporate and entrepreneurial experience to help customers and their businesses grow. As a vibrant, motivational leader, he develops high-performing individuals and teams. Innovative and entrepreneurial, Jack has a strong ability to launch new business strategies and own growth segments with superior customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
